Contra Costa Animal Services (CCAS) is the county’s animal shelter, committed to protecting the health, safety, and well-being of both people and animals in our community. Through compassionate care, responsible enforcement, and proactive education, CCAS works to reduce homelessness among animals, reunite lost pets with their families, and place pets into safe, loving homes. Their mission is rooted in strengthening the human-animal bond while ensuring every animal is treated with dignity and respect.

Why This Matters to Me

Real estate is about helping people find where they belong—and I believe that extends to animals too. A home isn’t complete without love, and for many families, that includes a pet.

Volunteering—walking and running dogs at the shelter—along with supporting animal rescue, fostering, and pet adoption in Contra Costa County and the East Bay is my way of giving back to the community that has given so much to me and my family.

I believe strong communities are built on compassion, connection, and care—and giving back matters. Whether it’s volunteering, fostering, or simply spreading awareness, I’m committed to showing up with heart for those who can’t speak for themselves.

Adopt, Don’t Shop

There are so many incredible dogs and cats in shelters right here in the East Bay waiting for a second chance. Choosing pet adoption in Contra Costa County helps reduce overcrowding and supports ethical, compassionate care.

If you’re thinking about adding a pet to your family, start with adoption—you won’t just find a pet, you’ll find family.

Pet of the Month

Each month, I’m proud to feature a dog or cat from Contra Costa Animal Services who is looking for a loving home. These incredible animals are part of the pet adoption community in Contra Costa County and the East Bay, and each one has a unique story, personality, and so much love to give.

By highlighting a Pet of the Month, my goal is to bring more visibility to animals in need and help them find the families they deserve.

Meet Pablo | Adoptable Dog in Contra Costa County

Pablo is a 3-year-old brown brindle and white Pit Bull Terrier mix, weighing about 60 pounds, with a big heart and an even bigger personality. This happy, curious guy loves exploring the world—sniffing, strolling, and taking in everything around him. Once he’s comfortable, Pablo is incredibly affectionate and will happily lean in for pets and attention. He’s a quick learner who loves treats (he’ll gladly trade a sit for one!) and would thrive in an active home that enjoys walks, enrichment, and continued training. Pablo truly is the best of both worlds—your adventurous hiking buddy by day and your cuddly lap dog by night. He’s also a rockstar in playgroups and enjoys spending time with his four-legged friends. Pablo has been waiting patiently since January 2, 2026, for a family to call his own—could that be you?
